The National Citizen Service (NCS) programme is a government-backed initiative to help young people develop their personal and social skills in a fun and engaging way.
Open to all 15-17 year olds in Years 11 and 12, it does not cost schools time or money - the Government funds the £1,200 per place with a contribution from participants of up to £50. Individual bursaries are available on a case by case basis.
By becoming involved in the NCS programme, your students will gain skills that future employers and UCAS value. For your school/college, you can start to gather evidence which contributes to a range of Ofsted judgement areas, as well as support students at risk of becoming NEET.
